2019 Ignite Conference

This September we will be hosting our annual Ignite Conference - a retreat for our Official Workers and their spouses - in Bozeman, MT.  This conference is designed to be a time of encouragement and refreshment. By way of reminder, attendance is required unless a prior exception is granted by the District Superintendent. We're excited to have Steve Fowler, Lead Pastor at Salem Alliance Church, as our keynote speaker this year.

Steve was born in Hong Kong where his parents served as missionaries with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. He attended the Dalat Boarding School in Penang, Malaysia, and returned to attend Simpson College (now Simpson University) which was located at that time in San Francisco, California. Steve received his Masters of Ministry degree from Simpson University in 2002.

Steve left Simpson University to work for United Parcel Service (UPS) in California for nine years and then for Luhr-Jensen (quality fishing lures and accessories) in Hood River, Oregon for six years. It was there that God called him into full-time ministry.

Steve served as senior pastor for East Hills Alliance Church in Kelso, Washington, for seven years before being called to an International Church Plant in Hong Kong. He was then called in 2005 to serve at Salem Alliance Church, Salem, Oregon, as Pastor of Outreach and accepted his current role as Lead Pastor in 2009.

Steve and his wife Trina have been married for 34 years and have four grown children, all married, and five grandchildren. Steve loves his family and also enjoys fishing, golfing, reading and anything outdoors.
